THE INTERNATIONAL DEFENSIVE PISTOL ASSOCIATION

Defensive pistol shooting as a sport is quite simply the use of practical equipment, including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios.

Shooters competing in Defensive Pistol events are required to use practical handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense use.  No “competition only” equipment is permitted in Defensive Pistol matches, since the main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual, not his or her equipment or gamesmanship.

Our monthly IDPA match is held on the 4th Sunday, sign-in at 9:00 am.

On most months we also hold an IDPA Classifier match on the 2nd Saturday, sign-in at 5:00 pm.

Please call or email us to confirm the next match date as me may from time to time have to reschedule.

We are never rained off, and since we control the lighting, we normally shoot an “adverse lighting” stage, requiring a flashlight to identify and engage the targets.

Please fee free to bring your own ‘Tactical Ninja Light’ or we can supply a flashlight if needed.
